Living a Reflective Life

My favorite combo 🤩 I've been doing this consistently, daily for at least 15 years. At 6 am, in a cafe, I have coffee, journal, and read.

That hour or two (depending on my schedule) gives me the space to reflect on my previous day, how I showed up, what to celebrate, and what to work on.

I ask myself a few questions, two of which are:

- What triggered me and why? Whether it's small or big, I approach it with curiosity, compassion, and love. A trigger is an opportunity for me to examine myself and go inward. Lots of realizations come out of that. It reveals and heals old wounds, hurts, and trauma.

- What am I celebrating? Whether it's small or big, what went well? How did I show up as a dad, husband, son, brother, coach? Acknowledge what comes up with love and gratitude.

I believe living a reflective life is so important, and the benefits are limitless and never-ending.
